Barodafest 2010 Parade

 

When:   Saturday, September 11, 2010

 

Time:    2:00 p.m. with line up starting at 12:30 p.m.

               All Units must be in place by 1:30 p.m.

 

Who:     Bands, floats, antique cars, decorated bicycles, horses, clowns, police cars, fire trucks and more!

 

Where:   Staging area will be located at St. John’s Church Parking Lot (MUST USE the Cleveland Ave. entrance). The parade route will go east on  

                Church St. to First Street to Lemon Creek to Cleveland Ave. and return to the church parking lot (1.3 miles – less for walking units)

Barodafest 2010 Parade Rules

 

1.         Line up starts at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Church Parking Lot - You MUST USE the Cleveland Ave. entrance. All Units must be in place by 1:30 p.m. 

2.         Walking units must park across Cleveland Ave. in the open parking lot. There is not enough room to allow you to park in the staging area. If you have a child that you need to drop off, please park across from the church and walk them over. For everyone’s safety, we cannot allow you to drive through the staging area. 

3.         If a unit breaks down or is unable to complete the parade route, the unit must pull off to the side of the route and let the remaining units pass by. If you are able to repair or continue in the parade you may rejoin the parade at the end of the parade. 

4.         All animal units must provide their own animal waste control unit. 

5.         Candy may be thrown form parade units. 

6.         Fire Trucks and Police Cars should keep the sirens to a minimum during the parade route. 

6.         The parade route will go east on Church St. to First Street to Lemon Creek to Cleveland Ave. and return to the church parking lot (1.3 miles).

·         Vehicle units may either return to the church parking lot via Cleveland or may leave the parade route at the Lemon Creek Rd./Cleveland Ave. intersection.

·         Walking units will stop at the Baroda Village Park driveway and walk back via Fourth and Fifth Streets to the church parking lot. 

7.         All parade entrants MUST COMPLETE the Parade Waiver Form before the parade starts. This should be faxed with your entry form to 269-422-2990 by September 6, 2010.

            The following rules must be observed. All floats will be inspected for possible safety hazards. The committee reserves the right to prohibit obviously unsafe entries from participating in the parade.

INDEMNIFICAITON AGREEMENT
